interview

by Dimitri Vorontsov

Dimitri: You’ve built an international career in fashion. How did it all begin?

Kate: I started modeling over 16 years ago, and from the beginning my career was international. I worked across Asia and Europe — in cities like Paris, Milan, London, and Shanghai — before moving to the U.S., where I’ve been based for the past eight years.

Over the years, I’ve worked with brands like Celine, Chloé, Ralph Lauren, Balmain, DKNY, Guess, and Alice + Olivia, among others.

Working across different countries shaped my perspective and gave me a strong understanding of fashion as a global industry.

Dimitri: You’ve been part of major fashion weeks. What does that experience mean to you?

Kate: Fashion weeks have always been a big part of my career. I’ve worked in New York, Milan, London, and Shanghai Fashion Weeks, first as a model.

Over time, my role evolved. I started attending New York Fashion Week not only as a model, but also as a content creator and fashion personality.

I’ve been consistently featured in international street style coverage, including Vogue, WWD, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, and Grazia, with regular inclusion in “best street style” selections.

New York Fashion Week feels especially important because it starts the global fashion season. It’s where everything begins, and being part of that moment means a lot to me.

I enjoy being part of how fashion is seen, interpreted, and shared. In many ways, it represents a natural evolution — from being in the industry to contributing to its visual language.

Dimitri: When did you start focusing on content creation?

Kate: About five years ago, I felt ready to take on a more creative role. Modeling has always been a big part of my identity, but I wanted to be more involved in shaping the final image.

Fashion is not just about wearing something — it’s about how it’s presented, styled, and communicated. Content creation gave me the ability to build that narrative myself.

It felt like a natural next step.

Dimitri: How do you combine modeling and content creation today?

Kate: For me, they go hand in hand. After 16 years in modeling, I have a strong understanding of how to move, how to present a product, and how to create an image that works both visually and commercially.

That experience translates directly into content creation. I don’t just pose — I think about the full picture: concept, styling, composition, and how the image communicates.

In a way, I work both in front of the camera and behind it.

This combination allows me to create content that feels elevated and editorial, while still being relevant and effective in the digital space.

Dimitri:You work with many brands as a content creator. What do you bring to those collaborations?

Kate: Brands value a clear and consistent visual identity. My style is very defined, which helps create content that feels cohesive and recognizable.

I’ve worked with brands such as Mikimoto, Vera Wang, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Armani Beauty, Shiseido, Kiehl’s, Coach, Valentino Beauty, Jacquemus, Phillip Lim, Veronica Beard, L’Agence, Demellier London, Prada Beauty, Gerard Darel, Rebecca Taylor, Kobi Halperin, among others.

My work contributes to how fashion is presented and interpreted by a wider audience, especially during key moments like New York Fashion Week.

Dimitri: How would you describe your personal style?

Kate: My style is feminine, elegant, and refined. I follow trends, but I adapt them to my own aesthetic rather than copying them directly.

Style should feel personal and intentional — that’s what makes it resonate.

Dimitri: How do you see your role in the fashion industry today?

Kate: I see myself as someone who connects traditional fashion with the digital space.

With a long-standing modeling background, consistent presence at major fashion weeks, and regular features in international media, combined with my work as a content creator, I contribute to how fashion is presented today.

It’s about maintaining an editorial level while making it feel relevant for a modern audience.

Dimitri: What keeps you inspired?

Kate: I’m inspired by how fashion continues to evolve while still allowing space for individuality.

For me, it’s about interpreting trends in a way that feels personal and authentic — that’s what keeps the work interesting.

At this stage of my career, I’m focused on continuing to grow both as a model and as a content creator, expanding my presence across international media and brand collaborations.
