FASHION FORWARD
Fashion Forward Spring/Summer 2025
Paris shone even brighter on September 25th as the Fashion Forward® show took center stage at Paris Fashion Week. The event concluded with stunning presentations from four standout designers, showcasing fashion’s finest on a global stage. Held at The Hôtel Marcel Dassault, the show dazzled with a runway transformed into a celestial vision of glitter and glamour. Gavel Paris, Amor Emel, Sparkle by Karen Chan, and Zelovva wowed the audience with their unique takes on modern fashion. Models glided down the shimmering catwalk, their every step a graceful ballet of fabric and form, as the room buzzed with excitement and the flash of cameras.
“As a fashion platform, our vision and mission remains the same: to help talented designers get more exposure to the International fashion scene” As founder Wulan S. Haryono eloquently stated, “Our goal remains steadfast—to connect exceptional designers with the international fashion scene and amplify their creative voices.”
GAVEL PARIS
GAVEL, founded by its designer in 2010 in Poland, has been captivating fashionistas and celebrities with creations primarily crafted from Italian silk, alpaca, and leather. With frequent collaborations and features in fashion magazines and TV shows, GAVEL is a growing force in the fashion world. For the Spring-Summer 2025 season, the brand relaunched as GAVEL Paris, blending contrasting materials like modern plastics, soft linings, delicate feathers, and metal studs. This first collection, meticulously presented at Paris Fashion Week, is crucial in setting the foundation for the brand’s identity.
A designer’s success hinges on their ability to balance creativity with client expectations, producing collections that resonate with the audience. GAVEL’s work is appreciated not only by Polish stars but also by an international clientele, as the brand continues to push boundaries with bold, innovative designs.
AMOR EMEL
The collection showcased in Paris centers around drama and unconventional fashion elements. The designer experiments with texture, silhouettes, and prints to create uniquely bold pieces. Before sourcing materials, the design process begins with sketching multiple ideas, which are refined through a selective process to ensure only the strongest designs make it to the final collection. This method brings captivating looks to life.
Inspired by pure glamor, the Paris Fashion Week collection merges dramatic elements with a sophisticated approach to fashion. The designer sought to blend audacity and elegance, using neutral tones to emphasize texture, structure, and silhouette rather than relying on vibrant colors. This timeless palette allows the drama and sophistication of each piece to take center stage.
The target audience consists of stylists and buyers who value both high fashion and everyday accessibility. The collection balances avant-garde designs with ready-to-wear pieces, offering versatility for high editorials and effortlessly stylish, everyday looks.
SPARKLE BY KAREN CHAN
The Paris Fashion Week collection celebrates women, encouraging them to live boldly. The theme, ‘Super Lady Wears SPARKLE,’ honors female strength, while the LA VIE EN ROSE collection, inspired by red, white, and blue, marks the brand’s Paris debut and the 60th anniversary of China-France relations. The collection fuses east and west with modern cheongsams crafted from silk, eco-denim, and voile, featuring the rose as a symbol of beauty.
For 2025, the collection incorporates rich materials like silk, Austrian crystals, lambskin leather, and gold-thread brocade, with tulle, satin, organza, and gold-foiled lambskin accents. The bold color palette contrasts neon hues with black, while the ‘HK SPIRIT’ denim collection uses red, white, blue, and gold.
The brand targets those who appreciate art and east-meets-west fashion. With the motto ‘Beauty Knows No Boundary,’ it embraces all ages, shapes, and sizes, offering practical, stylish pieces that balance tradition with modern ease.
ZELOVVA
The Spring-Summer 2025 collection, showcased in Paris, required extra time due to the incorporation of breastplates. The process involved careful sketching, color selection, material sourcing, and production. As this marks the designer’s second year presenting in Paris, they aimed to surpass the previous year’s spectacle.
The collection draws inspiration from Lisa of Blackpink, rockstar aesthetics, and the Wonder Woman movie. Key materials include satin and plastic breastplates, while the color palette features gold, black, and red for a luxurious, elegant look. Designed for confident, classy, and bold women, the collection embodies strength and sophistication.
